"[The rack cloud] is made by a chilly surge from an electrical storm lifting the damp air unexpectedly, it is an outpouring highlight from a rainstorm," forecaster Christopher Webb disclosed to The Daily Telegraph. "At the point when the downpour from the electrical storm comes vertically down it drags the air with it, it spreads on a level plane and structures a blast front, you get the damp air being lifted unexpectedly from the outpouring of the rainstorm."
